This is a great class for dogs who have an idea of the basics, but want to work on them so they can nail them! It's a brilliant option for those who have already completed the six week puppy classes, and is super beneficial for rescue and adolescent dogs.
The classes will take place over six weeks, and will follow the format of:
Week 1 - Loose lead / walking to heel
Week 2 - Recall
Week 3 - Place and stay
Week 4 - Retrieve / drop / impulse control
Week 5 - Confidence building
Week 6 - Games and round up of activities
The cost of the six week classes is £90 in total, and will need to be paid for at the time of booking. Classes are to be held at Pill Social Centre in Milford Haven, and will begin on May 13th at 4.30pm. Not suitable for dogs with reactivity.
This is a 5 hour online workshop, taking place on Sunday, June 22nd at 10am, and is perfect for dog owners and professionals that want to learn about Canine Reactivity, as well as exciting new ways of overcoming it.
With this course, you will also receive an 86-page student e-manual, a printed certificate of completion and a digital badge. The course is also accredited by the CPD, and you will receive 5 CPD points upon completion.
The course covers four main principals when looking at dealing with reactivity in dogs, including:
1. Understanding Reactivity, and exploring the truth about reactive dogs as well as the myths.
2. Become Your Dog's Superhero! You'll learn how you can advocate for your dog, as well as tips and tricks to get the results you want.
3. The Reactive Rascals Method, where we will dive into three core principles that when implemented properly will transform the relationship you have with your dog and retrain the brain to overcome unwanted reactivity.
4. The Reactive Rascals Toolkit. This is where we get into the tools you'll use with your own dog to retrain your dog's brain. You'll be equipped with games, exercises, and activities that will get real-life results when you need them most.
The course will be run online (you will receive a link to the livestream before the day of the course), and will be held on Sunday, June 22nd at 10am. The cost of the workshop is £75, and will need to be paid for at the time of booking.

Some dogs aren't suited to group classes, and need to have one to one training sessions either in their home or a quiet, calm location.
If we haven't met your dog before, we'll need to conduct a behavioural consultation to begin with to see your dog either in person or through a video call (video calls are more suited to separation anxiety cases), to determine what kind of issues your dog may be facing and what outcome you want from training. The consultation will last at least one hour - sometimes up to two hours.
Once we have had our Behavioural Consultation, we can then determine an action plan, whether it to be to follow training recommendations on the day, or to move forward with weekly one to one sessions, or classes should they be available at the time.
After the consultation, we will send you a copy of the notes taken during the session, as well as the advice given and the recommended action plan for no extra charge. There is no obligation to move forward with one to one sessions afterwards, however in cases of reactivity, we do recommend at least three one to one sessions.
There is no set time on how long it will take to modify your dog's behaviour, especially in terms of reactivity and separation anxiety, so you may need more than three sessions, but we will work with the dog week by week and assess the dog's progress.
We do have options available for you to book training in blocks for a discount, with details of this listed on our Pricing page.
Like the Behavioural Consultation, the one to one sessions can either be conducted in your own home or at a location away from home. This can either be out and about, in a hired field or a hall. In cases of separation anxiety, these one to one sessions are conducted via video call, due to the nature of the training.
The sessions last one hour, with opportunities for your dog to take a break and rest in between exercises. All training is based on positive reinforcement.
If we do require a private field or a hall for the one to one, there is no extra cost and it is included in the price.
Classes will be commencing in May 2025, and are suitable for puppies from 12 weeks old, up to 8 months old.
