Some dogs aren’t suited to group classes, and need to have one to one training sessions either in their home or a quiet, calm location.
If we haven’t met your dog before, we’ll need to conduct a behavioural consultation to begin with to see your dog either in person or through a video call (video calls are more suited to separation anxiety cases), to determine what kind of issues your dog may be facing and what outcome you want from training. The consultation will last at least one hour – sometimes up to two hours.
Once we have had our Behavioural Consultation, we can then determine an action plan, whether it to be to follow training recommendations on the day, or to move forward with weekly one to one sessions, or classes should they be available at the time.
After the consultation, we will send you a copy of the notes taken during the session, as well as the advice given and the recommended action plan for no extra charge. There is no obligation to move forward with one to one sessions afterwards, however in cases of reactivity, we do recommend at least three one to one sessions.
There is no set time on how long it will take to modify your dog’s behaviour, especially in terms of reactivity and separation anxiety, so you may need more than three sessions, but we will work with the dog week by week and assess the dog’s progress.
We do have options available for you to book training in blocks for a discount, with details of this listed on our Pricing page.
